About David...
David was born just north of New York City and moved to Cooperstown at age 3 where he loved everything small town living in upstate New York had to offer. Bethesda, Maryland is really David's hometown since his family moved there just before he turned six. After graduating from Georgia Tech he enjoyed a long and successful career working in submarine stealth for the U.S. Navy. He then spent three years at NASA Headquarters leading an Internet R&D group which led to launching his own web design & hosting company. In 2010, he began transitioning toward a new creative venture. He moved to Ocean Pines, Maryland in 1998 so his son and daughter could grow up in a small town with a taste of a simpler time. He and Alisa decided to head for warmer southern climes once the kids were grown, and now reside in the historic coastal town of New Bern, North Carolina.
About Alisa...
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Alisa was six weeks old when her dad, a Navy pilot, received orders to San Diego and her nomadic childhood began! Her family lived in Coronado, Mountain View, Alameda and Monterey, CA, Beeville, TX, Orange Park, FL, and finally settled in Fairfax, VA when she was 10. She graduated from Virginia Tech and has worked as a teacher, pediatric dental assistant, and full-time church secretary. In late 2003 she moved to Romania, where she spent five years serving as a missionary working with youth in the city of Oradea, teaching English and music, translating, and playing bass in the church worship band. Following her return to the States, she and David met and were married, and she began a whole new life as a wife and step-mom to his two children. Alisa loves living in New Bern so close to North Carolina's Outer Banks, where she fondly remembers vacationing with her family in her teen years.
A Perfect Match
David and Alisa met online and began courting through long e-mails and even longer phone conversations. They were amazed and blessed by the similarities in their beliefs, interests, and values, and sensing that God had a purpose in all this, became engaged shortly after meeting in person. They were married in May 2010 and are happily enjoying their life together growing their business.
